In December we created the first ever single specimen Gin, made from a single bush just 5 mins from the distillery & independently verified by Plantlife.org as being over 200 years old. To see what the infamous gin comentator David T. Smith though of it just click on the Link https://summerfruitcup.wordpress.com/2016/01/15/cocktails-with-crossbill-200/
The Gin Shed Festival
Due to popular demand we will be opening Inshriach Estate for the afternoon of Saturday 15th Aug 2015, for our own little gin festival. There will be a chance to tour the on-site distillery, visit our juniper forest, see exhibitors from the craft distilling world, sample some great food and hear fantastic live music.

Amazing Spaces Shed of the Year - See Crossbill’s distillery tonight on Channel 4!
The Crossbill Gin distillery is housed in an eclectic and lovingly crafted building which sits deep in the forest at Inshriach, near Aviemore. Being cocooned by the forest the enables us to create a gin that is in complete harmony with our surroundings. When it’s cold we’re cold, so Crosby our copper pot still wears a tweed jacket to enhance the distilling process, and when it’s springtime the lambs come to visit.
This spring we also had another visitor - Channel 4’s Amazing Spaces Shed of the Year show came to take a tour round the Crossbill distillery, residents bar, ladies waiting room, and the rarely open inconvenience store, all of which are housed in a converted chicken shed.
The Shed of the Year presenters tour the UK discovering truly amazing spaces that have been stylishly created, and we can’t wait to see what they thought of Crossbill’s home when we’re featured on Channel 4 tonight.

And we weren’t the only ones who were excited.
When one of the show’s judges William Hardie was on his way to visit us the prospect of some highland gin seemed a good idea, but we shan’t say what time we started the tastings!
We are just so chuffed to be featured on Amazing Spaces, which reminds us how lucky we are to have our home in such a beautiful space, which we created with Walter who has transformed his home at Inshriach into a welcoming and eclectic space rated by everyone from Trip Advisor to The Telegraph :)
And in the true tradition of highland hospitality when Channel 4’s judge William Hardie came to see the distillery at Inshriach he not only sampled Crossbill but our friends from the John Langan Band dropped by to play an impromptu set in the bar.
