At the heart of our Autumnal Gin lies a perfect balance of Scottish juniper, rosehips, chanterelles, and brambles. The bold, aromatic, piney spiciness of Scottish juniper provides a sturdy foundation, while the fresh chanterelles add a hint of forest floor earthiness with a touch of apricot on the nose. Brambles picked at the peak of ripeness, infuse a burst of tart, sun-kissed sweetness that beautifully round out the flavour profile.

Brambles and Chanterelles

The crowning jewel of our Autumnal Gin, Scottish brambles, adds a burst of vibrant tartness and sun-kissed sweetness. These ripe berries, kissed by the last rays of autumn sun, infuse the gin with a burst of fruity, seasonal delight, reminiscent of freshly picked fruit from the countryside. Their tartness is a key component of the gin, adding a pleasant, balancing contrast to the sweetness and earthiness.

The enchanting aroma of Scottish chanterelles, foraged at their peak, adds an intriguing layer of complexity. In our gin, chanterelles have a pronounced earthy, forest-like flavour, balanced by their fruity and apricot-like aroma. On the palate, they add subtle nutty undertones with a hint of almond or hazelnut notes. Despite their robust earthy, and fruity notes, chanterelles are generally considered a delicate mushroom in terms of taste. Their flavours are well-balanced and not overpowering.

Tasting Notes

Nose - The nose gives a gently earthy nuttiness, mixed with a gentle berry aroma

Palate - It starts with a lovely bittersweet tang from the bramble, before relaxing into the smooth, silky and earthy notes of the chanterelle

Finish - Subtle notes of Parma violet surround the rich and comforting chanterelle finish - lively yet rich
